Forest Service Office in Green River, Wyoming Moves to Green River Chamber Building

The Green River, WY Forest Service office located at 1450 Uinta Drive moved on May 7th into the Green River Chamber of Commerce Building located at 1155 Flaming Gorge Way. The phone # is still: 307-875-2871. Office hours are Mon-Fri 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.

Two New Utah Forest Supervisors

The Ashley National Forest and Uintah-Wasatch-Cache National Forest have new Supervisors. John Erickson will be starting as the Forest Supervisor for the Ashley on May 21st. He is coming from the Boise National Forest. See the News Release for details.

Many Roads on the Ashley will be opening April 27, 2012

On the Flaming Gorge Ranger District all roads closed for the winter except the Hickerson Park Road (USFS Rd 221) from Birch Creek to Sheep Creek Park and the Spirit Lake Road (USFS Rd 001) will be open. See the Full News Release for more details.

Gorge Pipeline Developer's Properties in Foreclosure

Two of Flaming Gorge Pipeline Developer, Aaron Million's properties are in foreclosure. He has stated that they are a family situation and totally separate from the Pipeline proposal. According to Million they will also be paid off shortly.

Wyco Power Receives Rehearing on Proposed Pipeline From FERC

The request goes through the FERC because of proposed hydropower generation installations.

The FERC stated in it's official order granting a second chance at some future date that the rehearing will be "for the limited purpose of further consideration."
