|Welcome Grand Junction and Western Colorado Area Visitors
We welcome those of you visiting from Grand Junction and Western Colorado to the beautiful Flaming Gorge Country. Flaming Gorge is sparsely populated and has a variety of beautiful areas and recreational opportunities to enjoy. It's a great destination not too far away from Grand Junction and other Colorado areas. It's a fun place to stay and play or it can be a brief respite on the way to Yellowstone or other points to the North.
Flaming Gorge Country
Daggett County in northeastern Utah shares the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area with Sweetwater County, Wyoming. The Flaming Gorge National Recreation area is part of the Ashley National Forest and includes the 91 mile long Flaming Gorge Reservoir which has 350 miles of shoreline. There are plenty of great places to go hiking, biking, fishing, camping, boating including rafting and even wildlife viewing. Flaming Gorge Country also includes BLM managed land in the Brown's Park area. Brown's Park was the home of outlaws and cattle ranchers and is still home to the Jarvie Ranch, several campgrounds and world renowned fishing in the Green River.
