Trout Unlimited will host a fly fishing tournament to benefit Utah's coldwater fisheries.
Participation will be limited to 15 teams of five anglers each, and will take place on Utah's fabled Green River. This two-day event will bring together the river's finest guides and some of the country's best fly fishers/conservationists to support Utah's coldwater fisheries.
A reception dinner will be held on Thursday, September 28 to welcome participants and kick off the tournament. The following day features a full day of float fishing competition, with two members of each team fishing one of two sections of the Green, then fishing the alternate section in the afternoon. Following the competition will be an awards dinner, plus an opportunity to bid on a top-end travel and equipment. Awards will be given to the top anglers and teams, and prizes will be given for a variety of other categories as well. Proceeds from the event will directly support Trout Unlimited's work to protect and restore streamflows in Utah and to fight the spread of invasive aquatic species, such as whirling disease and didymo, into Utah's rivers.
We look forward to working closely with interested sponsors to build a recognition program that meets your individual needs or those of your company. TU can offer a range of promotional opportunities, including advertising on TU's widely-viewed website and recognition in event materials.
