Daggett County’s rugged mountain terrain can create some interesting weather patterns. The East-West nature of the Uintah Mountains also makes it challenging for weather professionals to accurately predict the weather for our area. It is always wise to come prepared for cool and inclement weather. Daytimes can be sunny and bright year round.

Winter Road Conditions
UDOT and the County Road Department do a great job of taking care of the roads within Daggett County, but due to the limited number of plows in this area, it is difficult for them to keep up during heavy snowstorms. Highways 191 and 44 require snowtires or chains during the winter time and Highway 191 North may be closed due to drifting snow when you hit the Wyoming State line.
