2015 Utah Tourism Conference Presentations

Each year the Utah Office of Tourism and the Utah Tourism Industry Association hold a conference to train, educate and informa government leaders, business owners and others interested in Utah's tourism industry. The following information and links are representative of presentations given at the 2015 Utah Tourism Conference in Bryce Canyon from October 6-8th, 2015.  Additional information and links will be added as they become available.

Social Listening continued:

Social listening is a set of techniques and practices for identifying social media conversations about your destination, typically on Twitter or Instagram, and engaging with participants in the conversations, much in the same way you would a guest in your visitor's center or at a hotel's concierge desk. By answering visitor questions, celebrating great travel experiences and re-sharing great photos of your destination, you help to engage the social media community as ambassadors for your destination and provide a level of customer service that goes beyond simply providing pre-trip information.

The best way to get started? Login to Twitter, click on the search spyglass and type in your destination's name. Read the conversations already taking place. Retweet positive conversations or great photos. Or, jump in and answer questions that visitors have about your destination. From there, download my
